Poetry by Katelyn Walzer: The Senses

Silent Screams

Nobody hears it,

They sit screaming in silence.

Yet no one listens.

Painfully Sweet

Soft like a flower.

Her thorns may be a danger,

But she still smells sweet.

Feeling Stuck

I’m not stuck with you,

We’re just sticking together.

Do you feel it too?

Hidden Sights

You look in her face,

She’s an old soul with young eyes.

But we can’t see that.

Bittersweet

So close to the world,

I can just about taste it.

It’s sweet, yet bitter
